Winter Wagner in Gossamer

Four-time Theatre Brigade member Winter Wagner can be seen on stage at the Winningstad Theatre beginning October 18 in the world premier of Gossamer presented by Oregon Children's Theatre. Gossamer is about a group of dream givers, who collect memories from belongings important to the individual and then weave them together to create dreams. The story follows a young boy and his mother, both escaping from an abusive past, and an older woman who serves as the boy’s foster mother. When the boy is haunted by nightmares, given to him by the evil Sinisteeds, his dream giver, Littlest One (played by Winter), must muster all her courage to weave happy dreams that will strengthen and protect him.
Winter has been a member of Portland Theatre Brigade since 2005, serving as stage manager in 2006-2007 and dance captain in 2007-2008. Some of her favorite Brigade roles have been the Baby Wolf in The Wolf Who Cried Boy, Mohini in The Wicked Wish and Anansi the Spider in Anansi: The First Story.
Written by Lois Lowry, Gossamer is directed by Stan Foote. The play also features Chase Klotter as John, Vana O’Brien as The Woman, Jim Crino as Thin Elderly, Rebecca Martinez as the Mother, Eric Hull as Most Ancient, Kerry Ryan as Fastidious, and Fergus Firth as Striker.
